My name is Laetitia Laurent, I am one of the designers for the 2025 Palm Beach Kips Bay Show House.
I have a few favorite design elements in this space. I wanted to create a lot of dichotomy between natural, organic elements, which is why I used the Calacatta Viola. It felt very decadent and very natural and I echoed that with a bas-relief mural and plaster that really adds dimensionality to this space. And then, because I wanted this space to feel very French, very Parisian, we wrapped the deck of the tub in leather to make it appear like old Trunk
One of the very important things that we looked at when selecting our stone was to find a material that lends itself to a pretty elaborate treatment because we did an arch for the shower that has a lot detail to it and Primestones was wonderful in advising us on the right type of stone and I think it came out beautifully.
I really enjoyed working with Primestones because they’re one of those companies who collaborates with designers and who really tries to understand our vision. They were able to recommend thickness of stones, they were working with us on the exact color, it felt like a very collaborative process.
