My name is Nellie Howard Ossi of Nellie Howard Ossi Interiors. The name of my space is “The Getaway Lounge.”
When it came to my inspiration for the space, I did want something that felt true to my design style, true to my design taste, but was also quintessentially Palm Beach because I’m a Florida gal so I’m very familiar with Florida style, but Palm Beach style is something very specific and very special.
With it being kind of a small asymmetrical space, I really wanted to have a quirky element. Something hidden, something unexpected and with the small closet, I thought, well, this could be so much more than just a closet, so I decided to make it a hidden bar so that any hour can be happy hour and I knew that I would need a really fabulous countertop, backsplash, and cool bar ledge to kind of display some of the bar product.
Being able to incorporate the Intermare from Primestones™ was really the chic element that the hidden bar needed. I needed a material that had movement and a little bit of drama, but not to be too much over the top because I have a very dramatic wallpaper, so it needed to be the perfect harmony and perfect balance of both color and just that right amount of drama.
I have to say that working with Primestones has really been nothing but wonderful. From the start I had a call with them, I sent them my materials, my samples, my swatches and I explained my vision to them and immediately they presented me with multiple, really fabulous options for what I was looking for. So, I have to say that they made that part of it, really, just fantastic and easy, so easy to work with connecting them with my contractor so all the way from selection, to fabrication, to installation, it really was seamless.
